Ahmed Alavi, the head of the Council’s Cultural Heritage Committee, stated that the task of integrated management of the city’s museums should be determined. Stating that the residents of areas 6, 11 and 12 are being harassed due to the issue of the privacy and heritage rules of ancient monuments, he said: “We are afraid of the day when the bitter experience of the Garden Law will be repeated and the owner will immediately seek to destroy the property until it acquires a heritage value.” . Because the conditions of construction in the privacy of heritage works are difficult and it is not economical for the owner, and these problems must be solved.

Aghamiri also said: It is suggested that a joint working group be established between the city administration and the Ministry of Cultural Heritage to solve the problems of the privacy of historical places and promote tourism.

Further, Sharbiani stated that the people living around the heritage sites are in trouble, because they are not allowed to build at height, so they are not attractive for renovation, he said: “The re-identity of Tehran is new, but the appreciation of its several thousand-year-old historical monuments is rightly appreciated.” It is not known. Abbasi also stated that more than 50% of area 12 is a heritage area and the construction in it is waiting for the cultural heritage inquiry, she said: sometimes a case waits for several months for the cultural heritage inquiry and this is not true.

She stated that so far 300 plaques with heritage value have been identified in Tehran, 80 of which have been purchased by the municipality, and said that the municipality can no longer afford to buy these historical places and cultural heritage should help.

Emphasizing that a magnificent collective museum should be created in Tehran, Abbasi continued: She should see the cultural heritage organization of the municipality as her colleague and not as a competitor.

Eqararian also stated that Tehran needs new tourism spaces and said: Tourism capacities around Tehran are being destroyed and we must guide tourism from being luxurious and expensive to becoming cheaper.

Emphasizing that Tehran’s branding issue should be planned, Mandaripour continued: “Registering historical places is a good thing, but many of these places need attention and need to be renovated.”
