Niavaran Historical Cultural Complex has displayed a collection of memorabilia of the first appearance of the Iranian football team in the 1978 (1356) World Cup.

According to IRNA’s report from the public relations of Niavaran historical cultural complex, at the same time as the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, a collection of commemoratives of the 1978 World Cup of Argentina (1356) has been exhibited in the Ahmadshahi Kush.

This collection includes memorials made of china and decorated with the symbol of the World Cup of that period and the names of the countries participating in the tournament; In addition, two volumes of football-related books published in 1355 and 1356 have been displayed next to these memorials.

The exhibition of World Cup memorabilia will be held from December 1st to 30th at Koushak Ahmadshahi Museum in Niavaran Historical Complex.

The opening hours of Niavaran Palace and Monuments Complex are from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, although the area of this complex is open until 5:00 pm.

So far, Iran has experienced 6 periods of participation in the World Cup, the first of which was in 1978 in Argentina in 1356. The Iranian national football team has participated in the periods when the World Cup was held in France (1998), Germany (2006), Brazil (2014), and Russia (2018). This year (2022) the national team is present in the 22nd edition of this football event in Qatar.

Niavaran Historical Cultural Complex located on Shahid Bahonar Street (Niavaran), on the eastern side of Shahid Bahonar Square (Niavaran) is one of the historical and touristic attractions of North Tehran.
