A typical Chinese style vase was sold for millions of euros in a highly competitive auction.

According to ISNA and quoted by the Guardian, an ordinary vase made in China was finally sold for about 8 million euros because the buyers were convinced that it was a rare historical relic of the 18th century, while experts were unsure of its value. was set at only 2,000 euros.

This vase was offered at the Osenat auction located in Fontainebleau, a commune near Paris, and was finally sold for 4,000 times more than its estimated value of 7.7 million euros.

The white porcelain vase, which is decorated with blue designs and the image of a dragon, was put up for auction by a woman living in France who inherited it from her mother. This woman had told the auction officials that this vase originally belonged to her grandmother.

The new and unknown buyer of this work was one of 30 people who competed to buy this vase in the auction.

The remarkable thing about the sale of this vase is that the Osenat auctioneers have described this vase as a typical 20th century porcelain vase. However, a large group of porcelain enthusiasts believe that the officials of this auction were not aware of the value of the object in their possession.

Of course, this is not the first time that a vase with similar features has been sold at an auction for millions. In 2018, a vase was sold at a Christie’s auction for $14 million./ end
