The story of the old woman Galesh’s life in the forest and her different style of womanhood have amazed all people.
The documentary “Pertas” directed by Ali Ahmadi Zarin Kalaei is present at the 6th Documentary Television Festival.
Ahmadi said about the subject of his film: This documentary is about the life of an old woman named “Glin” who has been living alone in the forests of northern Iran for many years. In addition to animal husbandry, he also does other things to make a living. For example, she has a wooden spinning wheel, which she uses to knit socks for the locals and earn money.
He added: In this film, you can see the fearlessness and courage of a Galesh woman who lives alone in the forest. Glynn’s husband has been dead for many years and she has no children, besides, she loves life in the forest and galashi. His brother repeatedly urges him to give it up, but he refuses. I think his life is unique.
Pointing out that he has shown a different way of life in this documentary, he said: “The life of the Galashes, although it has many hardships, is very beautiful and heartwarming.” Maybe that’s why Glynn doesn’t want to leave it and settle down.
This documentary maker explained about the narrative form of “Pertas” documentary: He has two beautiful houses in the forest and when the snow gets heavy, he changes his house. For this reason, part of the film was recorded in the first hut and another part in his other house. Both his houses were very beautiful locations for filming and a narrator accompanied us.
