Shams al<\/strong>-Din Muhammad, nicknamed Hafiz and nicknamed Lasan al-Ghaib<\/strong>, was one of the Iranian poets of the 8th century Hijri<\/strong> (around 727 to 792). He is considered one of the greatest lyricists of the Persian language. Some have said that his last name and fame is Hafez because he was the memorizer <\/strong>of Quran and many of his verses are interpretations of Quranic concepts.
